1Before you start
- A WordPress website with WooCommerce installed and active.
- An Amazon Associates account and your tracking ID (for example
yourtag-20).
- The Woo Amazon Affiliate plugin ZIP file.
- Google Chrome on your computer and a Woo Amazon Affiliate account.
2Install the WordPress plugin
- In WordPress go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Choose the plugin ZIP, click Install Now, then Activate.
- A new Amazon Affiliate menu appears in your dashboard.
3Set up the plugin
- Open Amazon Affiliate → Settings.
- Enter your Associates tracking ID and choose your Amazon marketplace (amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, amazon.ae …).
- Choose a default category and whether new products are saved as Draft or Published.
- Set the button text (for example Buy on Amazon) and whether images are downloaded to your media library.
- Copy the Connection key shown on the settings page – you need it for the extension.
Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save once after activating. This makes sure the connection address works.
4Install the extension & connect your store
- Add the extension from the Chrome Web Store and pin it to the toolbar.
- Click the icon and sign in with your Woo Amazon Affiliate account (Login page).
- Click Add store, enter your website address (e.g.
https://yourstore.com) and paste the Connection key.
- Press Test connection. You should see Store connected.
You can connect more than one store and switch between them in the popup.
5Import a single product
- Open any product page on Amazon.
- Click the Import to store button added by the extension (or open the popup).
- Check the title, price and images, choose a category and click Import.
- The product is created in WooCommerce as an External / Affiliate product whose button links to Amazon with your tracking ID.
6Bulk import from search & category pages
- Open an Amazon search results, category or Best Sellers page.
- Checkboxes appear on each product. Tick the ones you want, or use Select all on page.
- Click Import selected, choose the WooCommerce category and start the queue.
- Keep the tab open until the queue shows Done. Failed items can be retried from the queue list.
Import at a steady pace. Very fast bulk runs may cause Amazon to show verification pages; complete them yourself and continue.
7Manage & refresh products
- Amazon Affiliate → Products lists everything imported, with the source link and last update.
- Use Refresh price on single items, or bulk-select to refresh many.
- Edit titles and descriptions freely in WooCommerce – your affiliate link stays attached.
8Stay within Amazon Associates rules
- Show a clear affiliate disclosure on your site (for example in the footer and on product pages).
- Refresh prices regularly and note that prices and availability can change on Amazon.
- Do not change your tracking ID inside links or cloak where links go.
- Read the current Associates Operating Agreement for your marketplace.
9Troubleshooting
- “Store not reachable” when connecting.
- Re-save permalinks, check the address uses https, and make sure a security plugin is not blocking the WordPress REST API.
- Products import without images.
- Turn on Download images in settings and check your media folder is writable.
- The Import button does not appear on Amazon.
- Reload the page. Check the extension is signed in and enabled for the Amazon site.
- Commission not tracking.
- Open an imported product's button link and confirm it contains your tracking ID.
